Paul Chawrun, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer joined Centerra Gold inc. in September 2022 and is a mining engineer with over 30 years of wide-ranging experience in the industry. Paul oversees all operations and project development activities for Centerra. Prior to joining Centerra, Paul was Chief Operating Officer of Teranga Gold Corporation, which created significant shareholder value by building up a small single asset producer growing to mid-tier status through successful major project construction, five consecutive years delivering record production with exceptional Environmental, Social and Governance performance. Previously Paul’s work experience included positions in operations at Fording and Suncor Energy, as well as technical services and corporate development at various mine development companies including Director of Technical Services for the development of the Detour Gold project. Paul initially started his career as an exploration geologist for Corona Corporation.
Paul is a professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University, also holding a Bachelor of Science in Geology from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University.
Ryan Snyder, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), joined Centerra Gold Inc. in 2022 as Vice President, Finance, and was promoted into his current role in April 2024. Focused on strategic decision making across all levels of the organization, Ryan leads the Centerra’s global finance function.
Ryan has over 15 years of experience in financial management in the mining industry. Prior to joining Centerra, he was CFO of Electra Battery Materials Corporation and Primero Mining Corporation. He previously held key financial roles at numerous resource companies, including five years in operations finance with Inmet Mining Corporation. Ryan started his career with KPMG in Toronto.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA Ontario).
Claudia D’Orazio, Executive Vice President, People, Technology and Supply Chain, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in February 2020 as Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. Claudia oversees the design, implementation, and oversight of global employee programs, global technology systems and processes and global supply chain policies and programs. She has extensive experience in transformational leadership with a passion for optimizing people, process and technology. Claudia has over 30 years experience as a Senior Executive and has an extensive background in human resources, risk management, internal audit, information technology, supply chain management, integrations, treasury and finance.
Prior to joining Centerra, Claudia held several executive roles at Pembina Pipeline Corporation including, Corporate Controller, Vice President, Finance Treasurer, Vice President Risk and Compliance and Vice President Human Resources. She was a champion of change management, transformational leadership and team development, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness and led multiple management and employee initiatives including a large acquisition & integration program. Prior to that, Claudia worked with the Royal Bank of Canada and held several progressive senior roles in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal. Claudia started her career at KPMG.
Claudia has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation (CMIEF) and is currently on the Board of Directors of Standard Lithium Ltd. where she is Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Claudia holds a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Accounting & Management Information Systems from McGill University and has her CPA designation. She also holds her designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
Yousef Rehman, Executive Vice President, Legal and Public Affairs, joined Centerra in 2013 as Senior Legal Counsel and was promoted progressively to his current role. Yousef has over 15 years of legal experience, principally in the mining industry. He is responsible for management of the company’s global legal affairs. Yousef provides the Company with strategic legal insight in corporate matters for its global operations. Prior to joining Centerra, Yousef worked as in-house legal counsel at a Canadian transportation company and, prior to that, practiced law at Stikeman Elliott LLP, where he worked in the areas of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, especially in the natural resources sector.
Yousef received his J.D. from the University of Toronto in 2006 and holds Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto (2003). Yousef was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007.
Hélène Timpano, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in May 2023. Hélène is an experienced mining executive and former management consultant with multinational experience in operations and development projects. Hélène is responsible for overseeing the company’s long-term growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and key partnerships. Her most recent executive position was as Senior Vice President, Operations at Kinross Gold Corporation where she led operations and technical strategy. Hélène also held various other executive roles at Kinross where she led Kinross’s annual strategic business planning process, numerous technical M&A due diligence efforts, and oversaw many asset level strategy and optimization projects. She also led a number of corporate functions including Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement, among other areas. Before her tenure at Kinross, Hélène was a consultant at Bain & Company, a multi-national consulting firm.
Hélène is an engineer with a Bachelor Degree in Integrated Engineering and a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Honours Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business and Western University. Hélène holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management from Northwestern University.
Mr. Tomory, has over 25 years of experience in mining, engineering and construction and was appointed Centerra’s President & CEO effective May 1, 2023. Prior to his appointment, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Kinross Gold Corporation, where he worked for over 14 years in a series of progressive technical roles. Prior to Kinross, he worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and Golder Associates. Mr. Tomory is a professional engineer from the University of Toronto and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
Carole Fortin, Vice President, Health, Safety & Security, (HS&S), joined Centerra Gold Inc. in July 2018, as Director Metallurgy before transitioning to Mount Milligan Mine, where she served as Mill Manager then General Mine Manager, delivering outstanding operational results with a focus on safety. In January 2025, she was promoted to her current role as Vice President, Health, Safety & Security. In addition to overseeing HS&S, Carole is responsible for leading and maintaining accountability for the British Columbia Care and Maintenance sites, Endako and Kemess. With over 25 years of experience as an operational leader and professional engineer, Carole has held roles at leading companies such as Xstrata, Royal Dutch Shell and Newmont Corporation working across Canada and internationally.
Carole holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials and Metallurgy from Laval University and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
Christopher Richings, Vice President, Technical Services, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in November 2024. Christopher is an experienced mining executive and professional engineer with over 20 years experience in open pit and underground mining operations. He is responsible for key technical insight for the company’s global operations. Christopher has led multi million-dollar technical studies and projects from scoping to feasibility levels in addition to large operational and technical teams. Prior to his current role, he was Vice President, Technical Services at Luca Mining Corp., providing technical expertise, advice and guidance to corporate and site teams. Christopher also worked as Director of Technical Services for both the Josemaria Project and the Candelaria Copper Mining Complex with Lundin Mining Corp. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Freeport McMoRan and Newmont.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a Professional Engineer (British Columbia).
David Bickford, Vice President, Operations, Türkiye, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in December 2020. David oversees all operations and production activities at the Öksüt Mine in Türkiye. David is an experienced mining executive with extensive experience in economic mineral deposit discovery, development and mine operations. He has over 40 years’ of experience in the minerals, mining and energy resources sector. Prior to his present role, David was the Vice President and Country Manager, Türkiye for Eldorado Gold for over 20 years. He also held roles as Chief Geologist and Project Geologist at Eldorado Gold’s subsidiary Tuprag Metal Mandencilik A.S., David has also worked in the United States of America at several companies as a geologist.
David holds a Master of Science in Geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Don Weeks, General Manager, Thompson Creek Mine, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in February 2024. Don has over 28 years of experience in the mining industry. Don is responsible for overseeing all operational, safety and production activities at the Thompson Creek Mine. Prior to joining Centerra, he was the Operations Manager at Greens Creek Mine with Hecla Mining Company, where he was responsible for leading the mine’s underground operations, surface operations, and site maintenance and milling teams. Prior to his time at Hecla, he spent 23 years at Kinross Gold, where he started as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician before moving into multiple other roles, that included, Electrical Maintenance Superintendent, Project Manager, and Mill Manager, concluding his time with Kinross Gold as the Operations Manager for their Round Mountain Gold site.
Don completed his Electrician certificate at Boise State University.
Karina Briño, Vice President External Affairs, British Columbia joined Centerra Gold Inc. in November 2024. Karina has extensive experience in natural resources, sustainability, corporate affairs, government and Indigenous relations, policy development, and strategic communications spanning over 20 years. Karina is a solid collaborator, the key in building Centerra’s relationships in the local communities, working closely with all business partners maintaining aligned objectives. Most recently, she was Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Mosaic Forest Management in British Columbia (BC). She has previously held key senior positions in the BC Government, including Assistant Deputy Minister of Mining, President and CEO of the Mining Association of BC, General Manager of Administration and Director of Corporate and External Affairs at the Candelaria Mine with Lundin Mining Corp. in Chile. Karina’s leadership as a woman in business has been widely recognized in Canada and Chile as a testament to her leadership and contributions.
Karina has degrees in Psychology, and Spanish and Latin American Literature from the University of British Columbia.
Karine Pearson, Vice President Commercial, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in January 2025. Karine is responsible for the development and execution of the purchasing, sales and marketing strategy for the company’s metal products. Karine has 20 years of experience in the mining industry. Most recently, she was Head of Ferro Alloys Sales and Marketing for Anglo American, where she led the sales operational readiness for the ramp-up of molybdenum production from a tier-one copper mining project in Peru and the development of a global molybdenum finished products sales footprint. Karine has held various other roles including Director Strategic Accounts for Climax Molybdenum and over a decade with Rio Tinto in various roles including molybdenum and copper concentrates and cathode marketing, commercial projects, market analysis and group marketing strategy. Earlier in her career she worked as a Senior Copper Consultant for CRU.
Karine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds and a Master of Science in Industrial Mineralogy from the University of Leicester.
Lisa Wilkinson, Vice President of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in April 2023. Lisa manages relationships with the capital markets community and acts as spokesperson to investors and analysts. She serves as a key liaison between the financial markets and Centerra’s senior leadership, providing insights on valuation trends and investor sentiment.
Lisa has over 20 years of experience in investor relations and communications, corporate development, and strategic capital planning and a track record of creating and leading best-in-class investor relations strategies and programs. Prior to joining Centerra, she served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Eldorado Gold and TMAC Resources. Prior to that, she worked in capital allocation, business planning and capital projects at Kinross Gold and in equity research with RBC Capital Markets, Scotiabank, and Citigroup.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Lisa maintains a Professional Engineer designation in Ontario and is a certified Project Management Professional.
Luke Jalsevac, Vice President Major Projects joined Centerra Gold Inc. in September 2024. Luke is an experienced mining executive with extensive experience leading large capital projects at all stages of development from initial studies to final execution. Luke oversees the company’s operational and capital project initiatives globally. He has led multi-functional project teams through complex technical, permitting, environmental and business issues, as well as operational and continuous improvement implementations. Most recently, Luke was Vice President and Project Director, Great Bear at Kinross Gold Corporation. Luke previously held various senior projects roles including leading the studies and execution of major greenfield and brownfield projects for Kinross in Chile, Alaska and Nevada. Prior to Kinross he worked in the financial industry.
Luke holds an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and an Honors Business Administration Degree, Specialist in Management, from the University of Toronto.
Michael Fairbairn, Vice President, Corporate Development, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in July 2023. Michael’s focus is on asset-level strategy and optimization opportunities within Centerra’s existing portfolio and evaluating external business development opportunities. Michael has over 10 years experience in the mining industry. Most recently Michael was Director, Equity Research at Canaccord Genuity where he covered the junior precious metal explorers, developers, and producers. He previously held various engineering and finance related roles at Kinross Gold, Canaccord Genuity and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Western University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Honours Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business. Additionally, he received a Master of Science, in Metals & Energy Finance from Imperial College London. Michael is a Professional Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario, a Chartered Professional Accountant, and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Oliver Curran, Vice President, Environment & Social Performance, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in February 2022. In his role, Oliver provides advice, counsel and guidance as the global functional technical lead for permitting and environmental compliance. He is also responsible for the development and execution of the Company’s global ESG strategy and mandate.
Prior to joining Centerra, Oliver most recently worked at Agnico Eagle Mines advising on permitting, Inuit & government relations and ESG strategies. Previously Oliver was the Vice President, Environmental Affairs at TMAC Resources leading project permitting, technical and environmental assessments, government engagement and ESG performance. Oliver also held several roles at Baffinland Iron Mines, Vale (Inco) and Stantec.
Oliver holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
Richard Adofo, Vice President, Exploration and Resources, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in August 2023. Richard has over 30 years of multinational experience in the mining industry and has been involved in exploration, geological and resource modeling, mining geology, and mine-to-mill reconciliation. Richard is responsible for global exploration, and resource geology for the company. Most recently he was Vice President, Global Brownfield Exploration at Kinross Gold Corporation, where he was responsible for Kinross’ global exploration program. Richard also held various other senior roles at Barrick Gold including Director, Geology – Operations Support, where he led and directed Barrick Gold’s corporate mine-based exploration programs aimed to replace, add and optimize Mineral Resources and Reserves. Richard also held several senior roles in AngloGold Ashanti, including Manager, Geology for the Geita Gold Mine in Tanzania and other mines in Africa.
Richard is a geologist and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Mineral Exploration. Richard also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice and an Executive MBA. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist of Ontario.
Tom Ondrejko, Vice President Langeloth Operations, joined Centerra’s Langeloth Metallurgical Facility in 2005 and progressed in various roles to now lead the operations. Tom has over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of roles involving management, operations, purchasing, technical, strategy, development, and projects. In addition to molybdenum, Tom’s experience includes chemical and metallurgical processes with rhenium, lanthanides, vanadium chemicals, ferrovanadium, spent catalysts, and foundries.
Tom is a registered professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University.
